PAY NOW, PLAY LATER

Practice, rehearsals, exercise, persistence, consistence are words that would be used to describe the discipline of delayed gratification. In the financial circles, it is clear of the time value of money and how investments are a great way to ensure consistent cashflow in the future. Not spending a certain amount of money today so that you spend it in future to do something far valuable is one way to look at the game of saving and investing. One must however be wise enough to not just save for the sake of saving, in fact savings are one way to diversify investments but is not investing in the real sense. Investing itself is purchasing an asset with the aim of generating greater value in the form of capital appreciation in the future. Land ownership is one of the ways that Kenyans have chosen to invest in for speculation purposes, whether alone or in ‘chamas’ or families. This has now been revolutionized with the introduction of alternative investments solutions and alternative real estate financing. The alternative methods of investing in real estate provide cheaper financing which takes lesser time to process than the traditional mortgage methods. This platform offers a unique platform of investing in land without the actual hustle involved in the real estate process of acquiring land, then constructing, renting out or looking for a buyer. The definition of technology is broad enough to encompass the new processes and techniques to doing things which is much faster, efficient and effective. This would then make alternative investments a technological advancement in the field of investments. So good news to the millennials and post-millennials, investing is also techy. Happy Investing!
